PWR Materials

Duration: 3 days

Level: Fundamentals

You are:

  • An engineer or technician with mechanical knowledge and willing to understand the choices of materials used in the manufacturing of primary circuit by identifying the constraints of:
  • mechanical operation
  • damage
  • manufacturing techniques
  • control techniques

  • Basic knowledge in mechanics

During the training you will:

  • Study all primary circuit components from a mechanical point of view
  • Understand the design choices made according to technical constraints, thermal and mechanical stress

After the training, you will be able to:

  • Identify the different structures and mechanical properties of materials
  • Explain the damage phenomena of materials on PWRs
  • Explain the manufacturing techniques of primary circuit components on PWRs
  • Compare non-destructive testing methods for materials

Course strengths:

  • Involvement of specialists and experts

For presentation of standard courses:
With our unique experience we can also offer individual training programs specific to your needs.
