Nuclear public acceptance game
Building trust to build a nuclear plant: discover public acceptance main levers by combining educational with entertainment.
A serious game in the form of a traditional board game:
- A game based on real-life examples to understand the importance and mechanisms of a well thought-out well planned nuclear communication and stakeholder involvement plan in support of the development of a nuclear programme;
- A game developed to teach statutory stakeholders and nuclear project teams about the necessity of beginning the nuclear communication and stakeholder involvement at the earliest stages of the project with the necessary resources.
At the beginning of the game, your government is considering whether or not to start a nuclear energy programme. Teams will have to cope with events as they move on the game board and solve quizzes, as well as manage the appropriate budget and resources. At the end of the game, you are commissioning your first reactor.
The winning team is the one that makes the most progress on the board.
“Excellent experience! Great tool for newcomers! This game uses your imagination and creativity and you have to communicate with others and negotiate; a good way to get information about the whole process.”
